Our Wildlife Control techniques are the most humane way to deal with nuisance wildlife. More people than ever are concerned with the welfare of wildlife. When it comes to wildlife invading your home, there is a fine line between solving your situation humanely and causing harm to the nuisance animal. Our wildlife control techniques allow us to remedy your situation quickly, but also to remove the animal stress free with the least impact possible
Wildlife Invasion Inspection - Our Wildlife Control Specialists will do a thorough inspection on your home or building. You will receive a comprehensive, itemized report that shows you every possible entry point for all types of animals.
Animal Removal - One Way Doors/Animal Excluders - Whenever possible we recommend using one-way doors or excluders to allow the animal to leave through it's normal exit. When the animal returns to the entry/exit, it is excluded by the one-way and will leave to find another nesting area within its territory. It is most beneficial for the animal to remain in its home territory and the one-way/excluder allows this to happen.
Animal Removal/Eviction - We use the eviction technique in the spring for mother raccoons with babies. First we determine that the noise heard is a mother raccoon with babies and then we apply an eviction fluid to the nesting area. This fluid is harmless to mother and babies. The evicton fluid contains male raccoon scent that instinctually makes the mother feel that her babies may be in danger. She will then go find a new nesting place and come back and relocate the babies within 48 hours or so.
Animal Removal/LIve Trapping - In some cases live trapping is the only way to remove a nuisance animal. We usually live trap armadillos and skunks because one-way doors aren't feasible. Skunks and armadillos are great diggers and would just dig around or under a one-way. They are usually under a house or deck or digging up the lawn and flower beds. Armadillos will also dig burrows up under the home foundation.
Animal Exclusion Repairs - Once your nuisance animal has been removed, we will perform all necessary exclusion repairs to make sure that your home or business is never invaded again. On your Wildlife Invasion Report you will see an estimate for each possible animal entry site. We use only the best materials when performing repairs. Our products and methods have proven themselves over the past 25 years and we guarantee all of our repair work against animal entry. If an animal were to gain entry at a repair site while still under warranty, we will return, remove the animal, and repair the entry for free.
Bird Control - Most birds in the U.S. are protected under the Federal Migratory Bird Act. The 3 species that are not protected are pigeons, starlings, and English sparrows. We offer a wide array of bird control deterrents and techniques.

About Us
Howdy! My name is Jason Tatge. I'm the owner of Animal Safe Wildlife Control. I am a Wildlife Biologist with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology from Texas A&M University. I've been in the wildlife/animal control business for 10 years now. I have found that this business offers unique challenges that make this job exciting and very rewarding.
I owned a wildlife control franchise for 8 years and decided I wanted to offer my customers more humane methods for wildlife control and removal. So, I started Animal-Safe Wildlife Control to do just that. Our focus is on using the most humane removal techniques while offering our customers the highest level of customer service that todays consumer deserves.
Spring is here! ItÂ’s that time of year again when most animals are mating and looking for new places to nest or den. Here are some common wildlife problems you could face this spring season.
1. Raccoons will do anything to gain entry to your attic so they can raise their kits in a comfortable and cool nest this year. Last yearÂ’s kits, now juveniles, are being evicted by mother so that she can raise her new kits in peace. These many juveniles will need new homes to nest in and they like attic space best. For raccoon mothers with kits, we use an eviction fluid to make mother feel that her kits are in danger. She will move her kits out to a new nest within 48 hours. Whatever you do, donÂ’t let anyone trap the mother and try and retrieve the kits by hand. Our method of eviction is the best and most humane method to solve this issue.
2. Bats are starting to leave the roost every night in search of insects. In some cases, bats that have been in semi-hibernation will not be able to find their normal exit. They get disoriented and come into the living space of homes or office space of buildings. The spring window for bat removal is opening now and will close in June when baby bats are born. The fall window for removals opens late August.
3. Skunks become very active in February and travel many miles to find new mates. You may have noticed an unusual number of dead skunks along roadways. Mother skunks will dig under decks, storage buildings, barns, and even homes to make a den and have her kits. Skunks will scent spray there den to mark it so that other animals know not to come near or to chase off an invading animal. In Texas, kits are usually born in late April.
4. Snakes are becoming much more active with the warm weather that comes with spring. Being exothermic, snakes need warm weather to warm up; which allows them to hunt for food. Snakes can gain entry to your home through weep holes in the brick, under doors, and on the roof through vents and open eaves. We use snake repellant to keep snake numbers to a minimum in the yard and recommend this treatment in spring, mid-summer, and fall.
5. Squirrels are a problem all year long, but are much more determined to gain entry to your attic this time of year. If a squirrel can find a gap under an eave or in a facing corner, they will chew out a hole to gain entry. Most squirrel species have 2 litters per year; June and again in August. Our animal exclusion techniques and materials are the best way to keep squirrels from gaining entry to your home.
The best defense against wildlife issues like these is prevention. Give us a call to schedule your exclusive “Animal-Safe Wildlife Invasion Inspection” today to see where your home is vulnerable to wildlife invasion.
Thank you,
Wildlife Facts
These days more and more wildlife litters are born in attic space. When these animals mature and look for nesting sites, they're conditioned to seek out attic space. Most of the animal species that we deal with are highly adaptable and they must be; due to their ever-dwindling habitat.
Most people believe that if they live in the city or suburbs, they won't be bothered by nuisance wildlife. The fact is, for every animal you see crossing the street at night or on the fence, there are 10 more in the area you don't see. 95% of the work we do is in the "city" or suburban neighborhoods.
Damage done to homes by wildlife can be rather costly. Raccoons, once inside the attic, love to tear into A/C ducts; probably to get at the cold air running through them. Squirrels will gnaw around the exterior of your home. If a squirrel can get their teeth into a crack or gap, they will chew in with ease. Rats can squeeze through a 1/4 inch gap and usually enter on the roof under eaves, through roof vents, or dryer vents. Once inside, rats will chew on just about anything. Wiring seems to be a favorite.
You don't have to have a current animal situaton for us to help you. Give us a call to get a preventative animal exclusion inspection and report.
